Touch Up Paint

Touch-up paint is applied using supplied brush

£8.00

These touch up paint colours are base coat colours which means they require a secondary application of clear lacquer once the base coat is dry (approx 20- 30 minutes at room temperature) to achieve the correct gloss level. Without the clear coat topping the paints will dry matt.

Paint Stick User Guide

Ensure you have all the necessary items needed to carry out your repair these are:-

• Disposable Gloves
• Acetone (Thinners)
• Scuffing Pad
• Primer
• Solid Colour (Base-coat)
• Clear Lacquer (Top Coat)

Step 1
Ensure surface to be painted is thoroughly clean by washing with thinners this will remove any grease oil or dirt there by reducing any chance of the paint not curing correctly.

Step 2
Where bare metal is exposed a cellulose white primer should be applied, this acts as a rust deterrent, however conversely on no account should primer be left without a topcoat as by its nature it is porous and will encourage rust spots to form. Leave the primer to dry for about 30 minutes.

Step 3
Having ensured that the primer is dry apply the basecoat over the affected area, the paint should be applied in small delicate brush strokes in same direction (e g left to right) Leave to dry for ¾ of an hour. Resulting in a matt finish.

Step 4
Finally apply a clear lacquer topcoat this will ensure that a full gloss finish is achieved.
Leave to dry for further ¾ of an hour.
