Trans Alba 2023 Photo Gallery
The third edition of the Trans Alba saw riders brave the elements as they took on the challenge of racing the 1025 miles around Scotland. The riders had there fair share of wind, rain, sunshine and climbing to contend with, sometimes all in one day.
The 2023 edition saw the introduction of a new race distance, the 410 miles 'sprint' version. Riders are faced with the choice of race strategy, ride through or go for an overnight stop? Kinesis Ambassador, Rupert Robinson, a veteran of the first two races, returned to tackle the new distance. Riding his Kinesis Tripster AT for comfort and luggage capacity, he tore up the course to finish first on the shorter distance and was the first rider in the field to reach Oban.

Ferries are feature in the Trans Alba
Even on the shorter course, riders will have to catch a ferry, with several crossings on the longer distance.
First rider home on the shorter distance
Having ridden the longer distance on the two previous editions of the Trans Alba, Rupert took on the new 'sprint' challenge and romped home in first place.
