Your new favourite hardtail
In 2012 we launched the FF29 and it went on to win multiple magazine reviews and awards. For 2023 the FF29 is re-born – longer, lower, meaner – but still flippin’ fast. Geometry has been bought bang up to date, the custom framebuild utilises all-new tubing technology and it comes brimming with features designed for UK trails.
Working with Kinesis Taiwan for nearly 30 years gives us unique access to the best know-how in the aluminium frame industry. We can develop a mountainbike frame tuned to the needs that we want as riders, giving the ride quality we enjoy while combining stiffness and durability at the lowest possible weight. We have also designed the FF29 with adjustable dropouts so that riders can optimise the rear stay length for their style of riding. This also gives the opportunity to set the frame up as a single speed.
The FF29 is long, low and stable with a steep seat tube and long reach numbers – the frame is actually sized by reach, and is designed for use with a dropper post.
It's slack but this bike is no slacker - with a head angle of 65.5º, you get a nimble, agile feel at the bars for singletrack hacking. We wanted an all-day hard-charging fully-capable 29” hardtail bike based around a 140mm fork, the sort of bike most of us ride here on the South Downs. Great for climbing and seriously fast for the descents – just how a hardtail should be. How will you build yours?
• The FF29 uses Kinesis’s advanced SPF - Super Plastic Forming. Most manufacturers use Hydroformed tubes, but with SPF we can create lighter tubes and more intricate shapes that will build into a lighter and stiffer frameset.
• The FF29 is long, low and stable with a steep seat tube & long reach numbers. Despite this it’s not ‘slack’ or slow handling thanks to a head angle of 65.5º providing a nimble/agile feel at the bars for singletrack hacking!
• Horizontally adjustable dropouts allow you to fine tune the FF29’s chainstay length for how you ride, with the added benefit of single speed capability.
• Size by Reach - Choose a size based on your riding style and fit preference rather than your height.
• Externally routed cables makes servicing easy and allows the use of full length outer cable to ensure your FF29 will run through a UK Winter
• GW Switch Lever Thru Axles: Clean and simple design with a removable lever
• SPF 6061 aluminium tubing
• Clearance for 29 x 2.5” tyres

GEOMETRY LEADING DESIGN.
Geometry is the number one factor in the handling of a mountain bike frame. FF29 has been designed with forward thinking geometry for the ultimate ride:
SIZE BY LENGTH
FF29 features a length based sizing system. Depending on how you like your fit, you can size up or down to according to reach. Thanks to the small seat tubes and long dropper posts - each size accommodates a wide range of riders.
SIZE ADVICE
Choosing the correct bike size for you depends on the type of bike, your height, your riding style, and your preference of fit.
A correct fitting bike will provide a more comfortable, more efficient and more fun ride.

“In 2012 Kinesis launched the FF29 and fast forward 11 years and the FF29 is re-born. It had all the treatment you would expect from a modern bike: longer, lower but still keeping it a fun fast hardtail design to take on the trail centres and single track of the UK. Kinesis have also designed the FF29 with adjustable dropouts so that riders can optimise the rear stay length for their style of riding. This also gives the opportunity to set the frame up as a single speed.”
