G2 Adventure Bike

Any Route. Any Ride. Our Go To Gravel Bike For All Seasons

£1,680.00

Following the huge success of the Tripster AT and ATR we wanted to offer a gravel adventure bike that was even more versatile but no less
capable than the Tripster AT or ATR for all seasons.

The Kinesis G2 adventure bike is nimble off the line, fast handling and plenty tough enough for rough and tumble of UK gravel riding. The
perfect four seasons bike for the rider that wants an adventure gravel bike, all year round for British summer and winter weather.

• More capable than a road bike.
• More comfortable than a cross bike.
• More versatile than an out and out gravel bike.

Road.cc – 4 star

“The G2 shines in its capacity as a bike capable of doing service on the road, where it's adequately comfortable to contend with poorly surfaced lanes, yet be able to roll up its sleeves and get stuck into some meaty dirt tracks.”

Two decades of bike design have taught us to never stand still and to question everything we see and do to make better product for riders.
What worked ten years ago may not be suitable for today's rider, so we are constantly evolving. This has lead us to our new 'Kinesis Rider Fit Design' process.

A semi sloping frame on the smallest bike has not only reduced the stand over height but has also brought the comfort in line with our larger
models. Short chain-stays alongside the revised position gives the Kinesis G2 outstanding road characteristics. Low Bottom Bracket, makes the
G2 extremely capable off road. Flared Handlebars, short Stem and full Pannier Rack mounts, means the Kinesis G2 Bike is ready for any adventure.

Choosing the correct bike size for you depends on the type of bike your after, your height, your riding style, and your preference of fit.

A correct fitting bike will provide a more comfortable, more efficient and more fun ride.

Kinesis’s bike size guide gives you some general advice on choosing the right size. It is a guide only and we always recommend visiting one of our stores or contacting one of our experts from our contact us page.

To get started, think about your style of riding, measure your height and see the sizing guide below.

However there is no substitute for good old fashioned advice from your local bike shop, we have a list of dealers here and they will be able to help you with your sizing and bike setup prior to building it.

Kinesis - Bikes - G2 - Size Guide

Drovers - Drovers, gravel and loads of smiles by Markus Stitz - featuring the Kinesis G2 Bike

"It is definitely more capable than a disc braked road bike, more comfortable than a full on cross racer. Both on and off road, the handling feels assured and inspires confidence. If you don’t push it, it’ll happily tick over the miles as well as any endurance road bike. Give the G2 some hustle and it will ride with real gusto. The harder you push it, the more fun it feels."

Review The Red Lantern - January 2020

"The G2 really is a go-to bike. If you could only own one bike, then you could do a lot worse than picking the G2. It really shines on rides with a mix of surfaces (think 50/50 on and off road). Its light, comfortable and quick. The frame is worthy of upgrading, and I will be looking at fitting some GRX ready for its second season on the gravel."

Review Submission by Jon Waring - June 2019

It really has become my "Go-To" bike. I ride mostly off-road around the South Downs and it handles the terrain exceptionally well.
Gravel, single-track, steep rutted chalky tracks, flinty pathways, tarmac, concrete, the whole shebang. I love riding it and have no desire or need to ride anything else.

Review Submission by Gavin Stafford - Feb 2019

I was looking for a winter bike with the capability to do some off-road riding.
I felt completely amazed with the spec’ and quality for such a reasonable price and I can only say I'm totally satisfied with every aspect of the bike.
Very occasionally does a bike just feel so right. I love the handling, it’s comfortable and I found it such an easy bike to ride.
I do have other, higher priced bikes so I can clearly see how good this is in comparison.

Cycling Weekly - First Look

The bike is aimed not just at adventure riders though, with Kinesis saying that it can also be used as a winter commuter and for cyclocross as well.
The geometry has been tweaked from the Tripsters, with shorter chainstays and slightly shorter head tubes for livelier handing and a lower position.

“The G2 shines in its capacity as a bike capable of doing service on the road, where it's adequately comfortable to contend with poorly surfaced lanes, yet be able to roll up its sleeves and get stuck into some meaty dirt tracks. Down rubble-strewn descents with rocks pinging off the tyres, sliding around bermed corners at my local mountain biking spot, and blasting along the edge of fields in a way that reminds me of 90s mountain biking, the G2 does it all.”
